MS Flex Lab Conversion Project
We are delighted to announce the completion of the PGMS Flex/Tech Lab conversion project!
The middle school's long-time decommissioned woodshop has been transformed into a clean, modern, and flexible technology-enhanced learning space to facilitate innovative instruction and student learning of STEM-related subject matter including robotics, 3D-modeling, design, and printing, multimedia production, and computer science.
This "flex lab" will not only serve the students of PGMS but is available for the district's afterschool elementary robotics program, tech elective credit completion for students at Community High School, and will also be available for special events in support of the broader school community.
This project would not have been possible if not for the invaluable support, expertise, professionalism, perseverance, and yes, the "flexibility" of Director Jon Anderson and his entire maintenance and transportation crew, our incredibly responsive business services department, the curriculum-related input from Director Roggeman, and, of course, all the guys of PGTech who helped to complete the project with the transport, assembly, and installation of the new equipment now in the lab. Special thanks go out to Mr. Andrew Bradley who was instrumental in the design and layout of the new facility and Mr. Brice Gamble, Teacher on Special Assignment at PGMS, for his insight and enthusiasm for the project from the very beginning.
